Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has taken the gaming world by storm. The French-developed JRPG has earned a 92 on Metacritic and sold over 500,000 copies in just 24 hours: a massive success.
For completionists aiming for that 100% rate, including achievements and trophies, here’s a guide to finding all Lost Gestrals in the game. Spoiler alert moving forward.
What are Lost Gestrals?
Lost Gestrals are quirky creatures with brush-like heads, scattered across The Continent in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
There are nine total Gestrals, all located on the world map. Once found, they relocate to the camp, where they are cared for by Sastro, a large, friendly Gestral.
Collecting Lost Gestrals unlocks various rewards, including the ability to break Paint Pillars—the black pillars scattered throughout the world.
Important Notes:
- None of the Gestrals are missable, meaning you can collect them even in the postgame after defeating the final boss.
- Some Gestrals are only accessible in Act 3, when you gain the ability to fly across the world map.
- With this guide, you’ll be able to find them all in just five minutes.
