Another video game delay — Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to launch in early 2026
Skydance hints at upcoming surprises despite Marvel 1943’s delay.

Skydance New Media has officially delayed Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from its original 2025 release window to early 2026. The developers stated that the extra time will allow them to add more polish and ensure the game lives up to their vision.
Why was Marvel 1943 delayed?
In a statement, Skydance explained that the delay will help them deliver the best possible experience. While the game was originally expected to launch in late 2025, the developers now believe that additional development time is necessary to refine the gameplay and visuals.
This isn’t the first major delay in gaming this year, GTA 6 was also pushed to May 2026, making next year a stacked lineup for big releases.
What do we know about Marvel 1943?
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an action-adventure game set during World War II, featuring Captain America and Black Panther as playable characters. The game promises a cinematic narrative, developed by Uncharted veteran Amy Hennig.
Despite the delay, Skydance hinted that new updates and reveals are coming soon, stating that they have exciting things in store and look forward to sharing more details in the near future.
While the delay is disappointing, it could mean a more polished and immersive experience when Marvel 1943 finally launches. Fans will have to wait until early 2026 to see how this ambitious Marvel game unfolds.
