FromSoftware
Elden Ring Nightreign’s Steam numbers make it the second-best release in FromSoftware’s history
A franchise that stands out with every release.

This Friday, May 30, Elden Ring Nightreign was released, a new FromSoftware title that comes with a multiplayer proposal that has filled many users with doubts. The reality is that its launch on Steam was a success, becoming the second-best debut in the Japanese company’s history on the platform.
A maximum peak of 313,593 players that could reach more throughout the weekend, and that is only behind the base Elden Ring and its peak of 953,426 players. One more proof of the great moment FromSoftware is living and the enormous prestige that Elden Ring drags behind it.
An intense experience to enjoy in company
Elden Ring Nightreign’s focus on cooperative play may be one of the reasons why it has achieved these figures, and although it can be played alone, the title stands out when it comes to playing our games with three players. Despite this, the reviews on Steam are being varied with more than 8,500 registered, and the negative ones especially highlight the fact that it is not an experience designed for solo play.
In our opinion of Elden Ring Nightreign made in Meristation it is highlighted that the game “delivers some of FromSoftware’s most intense boss battles, deeply rewarding teamwork, and layered strategy. But without future updates addressing multiplayer limitations, Nightreign risks becoming a niche experiment rather than a lasting masterpiece. For lovers of the genre, it’s a very addictive experience, that allows for them to share the souls experience with friends, and that’s where FromSoftware hit the mark with Nightreign”
