Fortnite x Star Wars: This is Galactic Battle, the new themed season with new outfits from the movies and much more
Galactic Battle is the name of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, a Star Wars-themed season that will last just over a month.

Epic Games continues to strengthen its ties with Disney and Star Wars with Fortnite. Taking advantage of the Star Wars Celebration event, where a variety of news for the popular sci-fi franchise was announced, such as new seasons of the series and new movies, it was also revealed that the new season of Fortnite will be a month-long Star Wars-themed event. Fans of this galactic story are in luck, as not only will they be able to celebrate its legacy for just over thirty days in the popular battle royale title, but there will also be new outfits from the movies.
Fortnite presents Galactic Battle, the new season focused on Star Wars which will arrive in May 2025
As part of the Star Wars Celebration, in anticipation of Star Wars Day that will take place next May 4, Epic Games has released the preview trailer for Galactic Battle, which is how Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 will be called. Unlike previous events of the franchise within this video game, we are facing a thematic season that will last a month: from May 2 to June 7. Check out the official trailer below:
As you can see in the video, not only will Star Wars weapons be back, but for the first time we will be able to control vehicles such as X-Wings and TIE fighters and participate in epic lightsaber battles against other players. In addition, although Fortnite already has a variety of Star Wars outfits such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, or Princess Leia, there were still some icons missing from both the hero and villain side. These are the new confirmed outfits for now:
- Captain Phasma
- Poe Dameron
- Mace Windu
- Sheev Palpatine
- Darth Jar Jar Binks
- The Mandalorian
- Evie Jedi/Sith
The Mandalorian’s outfit is completely new and has nothing to do with the one originally introduced in Chapter 2 Season 5; this time it is a customizable outfit with different armor accessories, so we will be able to customize our appearance and give our personal touch to the character played by Pedro Pascal in the Disney+ series of the same name. Other popular characters that have yet to arrive in Fortnite were Palpatine and Mace Windu, while Darth Jar Jar Binks is a fun way to “canonize” the not a few memes that there have been over the years after the release of the sequel trilogy.

The trailer also reveals the roadmap for the season: each week will feature changes and new features, grouped as follows
- May 2: Imperial Takeover
- May 8: The Pull of the Force
- May 22: Mandalorian Rising
- May 29: Star Destroyer Bombardment
- June 7: Death Star Sabotage

The final event of the season will take place on June 7th and, as the name suggests, everything indicates that we will be able to recall one of the most iconic moments of the original trilogy: the attack on the Death Star. Epic Games has prepared a lot of content for next month in an event that promises to be very epic and will focus on one of the most famous science fiction sagas of all time. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the franchise or just passing through, mark the date on your calendar: on May 2, the Force returns to Fortnite. Will you side with the Jedi, or will you be seduced by the Dark Side and join the Sith?
When does the new Fortnite season start?
Date and Time The Galactic Battle, which will be Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 6, will kick off next Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:30 ET. This date and time are equivalent to the following in the United States:
- 1:30 am ET
- 12:30 am CT
- 10:30 am PT
Remember, it’s not enough to just log in; to play the new season of Fortnite, we must first connect from this date and time and then download patch 35.00, which adds all the new features. This is done automatically when we start Fortnite, when the game detects that we are trying to access an outdated version.

Once the download is complete, you will also have to wait several hours for Epic Games to complete server maintenance. This period of inactivity can last a few hours, but in more extreme cases, it has been extended to almost a full day. To find out when the servers will be back up and running, we can follow the X account @FortniteStatus to keep an eye on status updates.
