Ahead of Elden Ring Nightreign’s launch, FromSoftware has issued a warning to PC players using the latest graphics cards: some configurations may experience significant frame rate drops.

What’s causing the issue?

While FromSoftware hasn’t specified which GPUs are affected, reports suggest that newer Nvidia RTX 50-series and AMD Radeon 9000-series cards may be experiencing performance issues. The developers are actively investigating the cause, but for now, players may need to adjust their settings to improve performance.

How to fix frame rate drops

If you’re experiencing performance issues, FromSoftware recommends the following temporary fixes:

  • Lower graphics settings from High to Medium or Low.
  • Reduce screen resolution to lessen GPU strain.
  • Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.
  • Verify the integrity of game files via Steam.

These adjustments won’t fully resolve the issue, but they may help stabilize performance until an official patch is released.

While Elden Ring Nightreign is expected to run smoothly on most PC setups, players with the latest GPUs should be aware of potential frame rate drops. FromSoftware is working on a fix, but in the meantime, adjusting settings may help mitigate performance issues.
