How to unlock skins
Each main character has multiple skins, unlocked by collecting Dash Food and transforming into alternate costumes. The type of skin depends on the area you’re in.
Some examples of skins include:
- Mario – Touring Pro Racer, Cowboy, Aviator
- Peach – Royal Dress, Racing Suit
- Yoshi – Jungle Explorer, Metallic Yoshi
Skins add visual variety and allow players to personalize their racers.
These mechanics open the door for future expansions, as Nintendo has a history of adding new characters and skins post-launch. Given the success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s DLC, it’s likely that Mario Kart World will receive updates with additional racers and customization options.
Unlocking all 50 characters in Mario Kart World requires Grand Prix victories and Kamek transformations, while skins add extra customization through Dash Food mechanics. With so many options, players can create unique racing experiences, and future updates could bring even more variety.
