It’s not Daredevil or Spider-man: This is Ben Affleck’s favorite Marvel character

Although he has played two of the most iconic comic book heroes, Affleck surprised by revealing which is his favorite. its story and mechanics.

Ben Affleck Batman

Ben Affleck’s professional career has taken him through a series of very marked ups and downs. On the one hand, he has two Academy Awards, one as the youngest writer thanks to the screenplay of Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote with Matt Damon. He also won the Best Picture Oscar for Argo, which he also starred in, directed and produced. On the other hand, Affleck had the opportunity to bring to life two superheroes beloved by comic book fans of both Marvel and DC. On the one hand, we saw him as Daredevil in 2003, and in more recent years, he donned the Bat-suit to bring Batman to life in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe.

The interpretation of both characters received mixed reviews. Daredevil was a movie that felt like a disappointment considering the good run Marvel was having at the time with Spider-Man and the X-Men. With Batman, Affleck came in with a stigma of having played a superhero that could not be overcome, and even made his participation in that universe seem shorter, with many changes that eventually allowed Robert Pattinson to take on the Dark Knight costume. With this kind of experience, which would be Affleck’s favorite superhero?

The superhero who stands above the rest

In a recent interview with Complex, Affleck participated alongside Jon Bernthal - his co-star in The Accountant 2 - in a dynamic to choose his “GOATs” (the best of all time). When it was his turn to pick his favorite Marvel superhero, the actor surprised everyone by saying that his favorite is Wolverine, revealing that he grew up reading comics of the iconic X-Men mutant.

Bernthal, known for his portrayal of The Punisher on television, joked that he was “offended” by the choice. Affleck responded with humor, asserting that he wasn’t trying to play favorites or bring up Daredevil, and praised Bernthal, calling him the best “performer in the history of Marvel.”
