Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls brings 4v4 battles to PS5 and PC
Marvel’s newest fighting game lets you swap between four characters mid-battle.

Arc System Works, the studio behind Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear, has officially unveiled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a 4v4 tag-team fighting game featuring iconic Marvel heroes and villains. Announced during Sony’s State of Play, the game is set to launch in 2026 for PS5 and PC.
A fresh take on Marvel fighting games
Unlike traditional 1v1 fighters, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls introduces team-based combat, allowing players to swap between four characters mid-battle. The game features:
- Anime-inspired visuals – A unique art style influenced by Japanese animation.
- Simplified controls – Players can execute complex combos with traditional or simplified inputs.
- Dynamic team mechanics – Multiple characters can appear on-screen simultaneously, attacking together.
Kazuto Sekine, the game’s director, explained:
“You only need to master one character to play the game. We’ve designed mechanics that allow multiple characters to enter the fight at once, creating a new dynamic for team battles.”

The roster includes fan-favorite heroes and villains, each with unique mechanics inspired by their powers:
- Captain America
- Iron Man
- Spider-Man
