Neil Druckmann confirms Naughty Dog is developing another game alongside Intergalactic
The studio is working on a second unannounced project, with Druckmann taking on a producer role rather than directing.

Neil Druckmann recently revealed on the Press X to Continue podcast that Naughty Dog is developing another game in addition to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Unlike Intergalactic, where he serves as writer and creative director, Druckmann is acting as a producer on this mystery project. His role involves mentoring the team, providing feedback, and overseeing development rather than leading it directly.
Who is directing the new game?
While Druckmann didn’t confirm the game’s title or genre, speculation suggests that Shaun Escayg (Uncharted: The Lost Legacy) and Anthony Newman (The Last of Us Part II) could be leading the project.
Both directors are not currently attached to Intergalactic, making them strong candidates for this new title.

Single-player focus?
Given PlayStation Studios’ recent shift away from live-service games, many believe this project will be a single-player experience.
Sony has canceled multiple GAAS (games as a service) projects, including The Last of Us multiplayer, and the poor reception of Concord has reinforced the company’s focus on story-driven titles.
When will Naughty Dog reveal the game?
With Intergalactic expected to launch after 2026, this second project is likely still in early development.
Fans will have to wait for an official announcement, but Naughty Dog’s history of cinematic storytelling suggests it could be another highly ambitious title.
