New PS5 State of Play announced: date, time, length and how to watch

Confirmed: PlayStation will have its own State of Play on June 4 at 5:00 pm ET. The Japanese company says it will show “news and updates on great games coming to PS5″, so it is not a trivial event.

They promise that it will last more than 40 minutes, so we are looking at one of the longest State of Play in recent years, which indicates the relevance of the date. Although there were doubts about whether PlayStation would come out as part of the Summer Game Fest, it has finally confirmed its presence.

Everything points to the new Resident Evil being announced under this umbrella. Insiders such as Dusk Golem were suggesting that it would be at the Summer Game Fest when we would see it, but precedent speaks for itself: Capcom in recent years has chosen the State of Play as a showcase for their new games, so it is not surprising that it will appear.
