With the imminent launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, gamers are getting ready to explore the catalog of games that will take advantage of the new hardware.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is so close that you can already smell it. And if you’re one of the lucky gamers who managed to pre-order the console, you’re probably wondering, what will I be able to play once I get my hands on it? And while everyone seems to want to play only Mario Kart World, a plethora of titles will be available that will take advantage of Nintendo’s new hardware. This time, we will take a look at all the titles that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on launch day, this June 5.

First-Party Titles for the Nintendo Switch 2 at Launch
Although the list of games by Nintendo is quite short, it is similar to the number of titles that its predecessor had. Mario Kart World is the title that, despite the controversy over its price, is expected to deliver, considering that its prequel, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, is the best-selling game of the first Switch.

GameCube titles coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at launch
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscribers will be able to expand their retro game library even further. The Nintendo Switch 2 will come with the option to play Nintendo GameCube titles for subscribers to this level of the online service, with a total of 3 games available to play upfront:
- F-Zero GX
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- Soulcalibur 2
Third-Party Titles Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at Launch
Considering that the Nintendo Switch 1 had around 10 third-party launch titles, the 17 games coming with the new console are not bad at all. A mix that includes titles that have surprised this year, such as Split Fiction, and compilations that will show the strength of the console, such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Street Fighter 6.

Titles with paid upgrades for the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch
Just like intergenerational titles on other consoles, some of the games that debuted on the Nintendo Switch will receive an upgraded version for the Nintendo Switch 2, under the name Switch 2 Edition. That is, if you already have the previous console version, you will be able to get the upgraded version by paying extra.
