PlayStation legend comments on the lack of Bloodborne news: “he’s so busy”
Shuhei Yoshida believes that Miyazaki really wants to work on Bloodborne again, but can’t find the time.

After more than three decades as president of PlayStation, few men deserve the label of brand legend more than Shuhei Yoshida. The Japanese man retired just a few months ago, and while he is remembered far more by his hits than misses. Yoshida stopped by Greg Miller’s Kinda Funny Games podcast to reflect on his entire career and was asked about Bloodborne, specifically the lack of news on the popular PlayStation 4 game.
And is that after its release in 2015, and its subsequent expansion, The Old Hunters, if it has come to be considered a new installment, a PC version, or a remastering, none of them has come to see the light. Yoshida is clear about why this is, but also specifies that this is only his opinion, not an absolute certainty.

“I left first party so I don’t know what’s going on, but my theory is, you know because I remember, you know, Miyazaki San really really loved Bloodborne, you know, what he created. So I think he is interested, but he’s so successful and he’s so busy, so he doesn’t want, he cannot do himself,” Yoshida explains. “But he does not want anyone else to touch it. So that’s my theory. And PlayStation team respect his wish. So that’s my guess, theory. I am not revealing any secret information, just to be clear.”
With that, Yoshida assures that he believes Hidetaka Miyazaki really wants to return to Bloodborne, but can’t find the time. Meanwhile, PlayStation respects this decision, as they own the IP of From Software’s game.
From Software’s next game will be multiplayer
It was at the last The Game Awards gala that the Japanese studio surprised everyone by announcing Elden Ring Nightreign, a cooperative and competitive multiplayer game set in the world of its latest game. Unfortunately, it will not be playable in teams of two and you will have to cooperate between at least three players.
