Sonic with SpongeBob and Avatar? The new racing game no one expected
Sonic’s new racing game features wild crossovers.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is shaping up to be one of the most surprising kart racers in recent memory. Leaks suggest that the game will feature guest characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and even Minecraft, making it a wild crossover experience.
What makes CrossWorlds unique?
Unlike previous Sonic Racing titles, CrossWorlds introduces warp portals, allowing players to race through classic environments from different franchises. Some of the leaked crossover content includes:
- SpongeBob SquarePants – Racing through Bikini Bottom, with vehicles like a Krabby Patty kart.
- Avatar: The Last Airbender – Aang riding his glider hoverboard, with bending mechanics influencing gameplay.
- Minecraft – Alex from Minecraft driving a blocky minecart.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – A TMNT-themed track, featuring a sewer run through New York City.
Why is this happening?
The crossover content appears to be part of a collaboration between Sega and Paramount, which owns Nickelodeon and the Sonic movie franchise. This could explain why characters from SpongeBob and TMNT are making their way into the game.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is going all-in on crossovers, bringing together unexpected franchises in a way that could rival Mario Kart. With warp portals, unique vehicles, and themed tracks, this could be the most ambitious Sonic racing game yet.
