Sydney Sweeney admits she won’t stop filming sex scenes: “I’ve never felt uncomfortable”

The famous actress from ‘Euphoria,’ ‘The Voyeurs,’ and ‘Immaculate’ talks about her nude scenes and her sexually charged roles in film and television.

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney, the famous actress from popular series such as ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The White Lotus’, as well as films like ‘The Voyeurs’ and ‘Immaculate’, among many others, is forging a career with clear upward projection, with increasingly interesting and complex roles—except for ‘Madame Web’, of course. Even so, many criticize the approach taken by the actress’s films, with performances that try to exploit her sexier side. However, Sydney Sweeney doesn’t seem likely to abandon this path, as she has stated on several occasions that she has no intention of stopping filming nude or sexually charged scenes: “I have no problem with those scenes and I’m not going to stop doing them,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sydney Sweeney and being considered a sex symbol

Anyone who follows Sydney Sweeney’s career will know that the actress isn’t afraid of nudity or sex scenes, although she also calls attention to other virtues of her performances: “People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, ‘Oh, she gets naked onscreen, she’s a sex symbol,’” she says. ”I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry.”

In another interview with Variety, Sweeney stated that she felt very comfortable with the sex scenes she starred in on the series ‘Euphoria,’ some of them truly explicit, something that played to her expressiveness and body confidence. “She doesn’t know how to communicate without showing her body,” Sweeney explains of her character Cassie in ‘Euphoria.’ “That’s a form of communication for her, and she was never taught that you didn’t need that,” she said.

“It’s a very safe environment. I’m very lucky to grow up in a time where there’s so much thought put into this process, and we now have intimacy coordinators,” Sweeney added. “Funnily enough, I’ve gained a lot of body confidence thanks to Cassie. And we choreograph everything. Sometimes there are yoga mats that can be put in the way. Or there are mats that can be placed, or yoga blocks—there are weird things. And even if you’ve agreed to something, they ask you right away on the day: ‘Did you change your mind? Because you can.’ It’s very nice. I’ve never felt uncomfortable,” she said.
