Summer Game Fest
This is Stranger than Heaven the new game from the creators of Yakuza set in the 1940s
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio surprises everyone at Summer Game Fest 2025 with its new ambitious proposal.

The afternoon goes on and on and the Summer Game Fest 2025 has just left us with an unexpected announcement: the new game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, creators of Yakuza, called Stranger than Heaven. A title similar to the works of the Japanese studio, set precisely in the Japan of the 40s (specifically in 1943). No release date has been shared for a title that, according to what we have been able to see in the trailer, seems very focused on action.
Sony joins the party, but on its own
The Japanese company was not present at the Summer Game Fest 2025 ceremony led by Geoff Keighley for the simple reason that it already held a State of Play last Wednesday. An event in which, while it is true that we did not see great news about their exclusive titles for PS5, we were able to witness a good handful of announcements. Here are the highlights.
- 007 First Light gets its first glimpse at the State of Play with the new James Bond adventure
- The Final Fantasy Tactics remaster is a reality and you won’t have to wait to play it
- Silent Hill f gets new trailer and release date: terrifying new footage revealed
- Nioh 3 officially announced at State of Play, and you can play the demo today
