FromSoftware

This player cleared all Elden Ring Nightreign Nightlords solo... before the patch made it easier!

Solo victories were brutal before patch 1.02—this player did it anyway.

One player conquered Elden Ring Nightreign solo—before the difficulty was nerfed.

While most solo players struggled against Elden Ring Nightreign’s brutal difficulty, one player, Valseran, managed to clear every Nightlord solo before patch 1.02 made single-player runs more forgiving.

How did they do it?

Valseran’s strategy relied on stacking weapon passives rather than focusing on raw damage. Their key tactics included:

  • Using Ironeye’s ranged abilities – They prioritized damage buffs while two-handing and damage while at full health, stacking multiple passive effects.
  • Saving dash abilities for dodging – Instead of using Ironeye’s dash for damage, they reserved it for avoiding boss attacks.
  • Optimizing relics – They carefully selected relics that boosted survivability and damage output, ensuring they could handle fights alone.

Why is this impressive?

Before patch 1.02, solo play was significantly harder:

  • No automatic revival – If you died, that was it. No second chances.
  • Lower rune rewards – Leveling up took longer, making progression slower and riskier.
  • No duo mode – Unlike traditional Souls games, Nightreign forces players to go solo or in full teams of three.

Despite these challenges, Valseran rushed through every Nightlord, proving that solo victories were possible—even before FromSoftware made them easier.

Valseran’s achievement is a testament to skill, strategy, and sheer determination. While Elden Ring Nightreign now offers revives and better rune rewards for solo players, their pre-patch clears remain an impressive feat in the game’s history.
