Update:

Adult Swim has announced a new animated series, “Keeping Up With The Joneses”, a satirical comedy set in Dallas, that pokes fun at the city’s ultra-wealthy - including real-life billionaire and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Keeping Up With the Joneses...literally

When does “Keeping Up With The Joneses” premiere and who is in it?

After revealing the show at the Annecy Festival in Paris, the details are still unclear. There’s not yet a premiere date and we don’t yet know details about the casting - except that Jerry Jones will not in fact voice his own character. But here’s what we do know about the series.

How many episodes are there and how long is it?

“Keeping Up With The Joneses” will run for 10 episodes and will follow the fictional Newberry family as they try to navigate life next to Jones and his high-society circle. Each episode will be 30 minutes long.

The project comes from longtime Adult Swim collaborators Hugh Davidson and Rachel Ramras, joined again by Larry Dorf, their co-creator on the comedy “Nobodies”. A teaser image shows the animated family sitting in church - a nod to Dallas’ famously upscale-yet-devout culture.

With 34 billionaires calling North Texas home, the series has plenty of real-world material to satirize. And following in the footsteps of “King of the Hill”, another animated series based in Texas, “Keeping Up With The Joneses” could become Adult Swim’s next big cultural commentary.
